Kiwanis Charity Dinner

Yesterday I attended a charity dinner with my sister, Samantha and Mei San. We were invited by Edwin and we were told to dress up cos it was kind of like a semi formal event. So yeahh. I wore my maroon shirt and stuff and off we went! And when we arrived, I felt super overdressed cos there were people wearing casual clothes wattabish. There was one guy in a denim jean and normal tee. You know, outfits like that. It just seemed really really weird.

I actually don't have much to write about so I shall just post more pictures than anything else. But I guess that will be alright with most of you cos I know you guys prefer to look at pictures rather than reading, right? Right.

While waiting for the food, this kept Edwin and Ah Ching entertained.

Okay now we shall move on to the food! I actually only liked two dishes. The rest were just ... meh. I've had better, that's for sure. But who am I to complain, right? So here are the dishes we had.

Four Seasons Celebration Platter
This I liked.

Braised Shark's Fin Soup With Crab Meat
This was love!

Roasted Golden Chicken With Prawn Crackers
Okay okay only.

Steamed Red Garoupa With Superior Soya Sauce
Fish not fresh at all... YUCK!!!

Braised Beancurd And Pacific Clams With Assorted Greens
Not too bad.

Fried Rice In Lotus Leaves With Dried Shrimps And Mushrooms
I hated this.
Never liked this dish in my life.

KANNINNEH.... This was BLERGH!

He hated it too.
So did the others <----- FACT


Chilled Honeydew With Sago And Vanilla Ice Cream
Mmmm.....Nice... BTW.. The ice-cream was left to melt IN it....

And wine which Edwin got for Ah Ching...He and I had beer instead.

Okay and that's all for the food. After the food, we camwhored here and there. Then the auction started and I have to say that it was pretty pathetic. The first item for auction was a holiday package and they started the price at RM1k. And nobody, I really mean nobody placed a bid on it. It was the most omg saddest thing I have ever experienced before and it went on like that for quite awhile. But much later, more people started to bid but it was still not much at all. And the same people were the ones bidding all the while.

Edwin's aunt was one of them and she got him a watch for RM1400. I'll post a picture of it later. So, okay pics of us and stuff.

There was also a lucky draw thingy and both Edwin and Mei San got something. Edwin's was a buffet for two and Mei San's was some thingy to promote blood circulation harhar. =p

And the rest of us got nothing. T_T

And once I got home, I camwhored with my sister cos she kept bugging me!! In the privacy of our own home with HER makeup all on heehee. Okay fine I could't wait to get it over and done with!! We camwhored in the lift.... Zzzz.....

As usual every Thursday we'll have to go for Le Brioche class....

Its a Bakery in our college actually....

Baisically, we need to produce Pastry and Bakery products to be sold there....

There's no standard menu to follow hence its completely up to us what we choose to produce.....

Went to college extremely early that day,

Was there at 7.15am...

Dinner at Bombay Palace

Went for dinner with the family sometime ago....
All the way to KL to Bombay Palace!!
Its been a few years since I've been there.... About 5-6 years maybe....


So as usual.... Ordered the spiciest food... =P
So typical of our family....

It saddens me very much to say,

That Ah Thye has left for UK,

There goes 1 of my best pals,

My teacher(back in school),

But at least....

I fulfilled my promise to you did I not?

So long has passed since I left you at HELP for Taylor's School of Hospitality & Tourism,

You told me, "Make sure you cook for me ahh..."

I still remember those words coming from your mouth as if just yesterday....

Well....

As hard as it may be....

As painfull as it may be....

I fullfilled my promise didn't I Ah Thye?

Though I wish so much that I didn't....

Cause then it would've meant you needn't leave....

So Teik Lye came over with Wei Jung the other day....

About 1 week before Thye left....

As I promised him, I prepared dinner....

They came early however so of course we had to muck around and do some shit things right??

It was the last day for my Sifu....

He resigned and moved to the hotel right opposite The Westin.....

Aarrghhh!!

Which means.....

No more Sifu to teach me Dim Sum!!

Nooooooo!!

It was my off-day....

But since Chong Sifu had been so kind and taught me so much and stuff....

I figured I had to see him on his last day anyway....

I gave him a bottle of Absolut Vodka as a token of my gratitude....

Sigh....

But its still sad....

He taught me so much and have still so much more to learn from him!!!
